Project Spotlight:

We were fortunate to be a part of a great design-build team to construct a 46,500 square foot indoor tennis facility for Clemson University. DWS supplied the steel structure, roof, and wall cladding. We worked with American Buildings Company's Eufaula, Alabama facility on the design and fabrication. The parameters required the inside clear width to be 150'0 with a clear length of 300'0. The 3:12 roof slope paired with the 23'6 vertical clear height under the lowest framing member provided the clearances required for tennis volley. American Buildings used its clear bay joist system which included barjoists from Vulcraft. The exterior wall cladding is comprised of Metl-Span's 7.2 Insul-Rib panel oriented horizontally at both endwalls. CF Striated panels were used at the sidewalls, fascia, and soffit. CF Mesa panels were used along the interior walls to provide a streamlined finish and support the impact padding. Metl-Span's CFR insulated roof panel covers the roof.
